Marilyn Monroe Fashion ..the 1950s

Whilst watching ‘My Week with Marilyn’, I couldn’t help but gaze at the sheer sexiness of Michelle Williams in this part, she plays the part of the sex goddess to absolute perfection; and the clothes, so perfectly tailored, seem to cling to and enhance every single curve. Fashion back then was a different kind of sexiness, it was a more demure, more grown-up style, but yet somehow, it seems so much more powerful….

Pencil skirts, trench coats, nudes and blacks, lots of scarves and plenty of court shoes, this is what her wardrobe seemed to consist of, all very plain and understated pieces. The trick when buying such ensembles is to go for high quality, high quality materials fit better, last longer and look smarter, instantly giving off a more polished effect.
If you haven’t already, it is really worth considering adding pencil skirts to your wardrobes, they are easily one of the sexiest pieces of clothing a woman can wear and they have luckily made a big comeback over the past seasons, so there are a few to be found with different price options.
