I was recently invited to a christening…I’ve never actually attended a christening as an adult before..so at first I wasn’t quite sure what the appropriate dress code is. I decided it should be something formal but not too formal, not black of course and ideally with short/3/4 sleeves since the actual sacramental ceremony takes place in the Church.
After some deliberation I settled on an antique lace tight fitting dress from Miss Selfridge. It’s a really beautiful dress, one of those that looks better when you wear it, then it does hanging in the shop. The mid length and 3/4 sleeves were just right for the occasion.
I accessorized with a little hair band hat and pearl studs.
