As most of my friends and family know, I get a bit over-excited when my birthday approaches and I start planning lots of different events. My husband calls the whole thing birthday festivities, in a slightly mocking tone. Unfortunately, the month of January puts a bit of a damper on things what with exams – I always had exams on or around my birthday until I finished university – illness and bad weather. I’ve always been quite envious of those born in Summer.
Well we can change a lot of things about ourselves but our birth month is not one of them. This means I must force everyone around me to make that extra effort and brave the cold weather, get over illness quickly and take preventative measures by increasing Vitamin C intake in the days leading up to the festivities etc etc
In a previous post, I created a wish list from Diamonds International with some splurge-worthy items for you know those people in my life feeling extra generous but I’ve also been trolling the online world for some possibly less-splurgy items. The January sales are the only good thing about January birthdays 😀
