Beauty : A Spa Capsule

I’m mighty bad at relaxing and even worse at ‘doing nothing’. I complain that even having my nails done every few weeks feels like a waste of time. When the Beauty Team in Mosta asked me to try out the Spa Capsule a few months ago, I declined, 30 minutes of being inside a tube doing nothing seemed like something I wouldn’t be able to cope with. A few weeks ago I ran out of excuses and decided to try it out, this week I requested a second session whilst having  HD Brows done (hence the scary eyebrows in the pictures).  It helps that I figured out a way to use my mobile whilst inside it but also, it is actually a rather pleasant sensation and quite an effective one.

What does it Do? It basically provides dry hydrotherapy and hydro massage  for 30 minutes and helps and provides a lot of warmth and increased circulation. It also helps combat a few things – mainly, joint stiffness due to arthritis and fibromalygia, sore muscles caused by excessive exercise and last but not least – water retention. I’ve mentioned in earlier posts that I occasionally suffer from water retention, especially after flights. The Spa Capsule claims to help with removing water retention by increasing circulation and thus draining tissues of excess fluid, it also claims to remove removing toxins in the process
The first session was right at the start of 2016, after Christmas and all that indulgence. I was super impressed by the results – I lost a kilo and a half of water. After the second session, I lost half a kilo but since only two weeks had passed and I had been eating much healthier in the two weeks between sessions, a lesser figure was expected.
As a way to deal with arthritis or fibromalygia, it is recommended to use the Spa Capsule once per week, as a weight loss tool, it depends on the person but anything from once per week to once a fortnight to even once a month would probably be helpful. In my case, I think it will become a standard welcome home appointment after travelling.

The Spa Capsule is available at the Beauty Team Mosta and costs 20 euros per session or 150 for 10.
