Travel: Discovering Casa Seseña

First of all, I apologise for the lack of new blog posts over the past few weeks but ever since starting 2016, I’ve been rushed off my feet from one appointment to another and it felt like I had no time to sit down and write.
So there are still a few things I want to talk about pertaining to my recent trip to Madrid –  one these is about a shop I was invited to visit throughout my trip – Casa Seseña.

The truly great thing about this shop is that it is kind of a magical one, a true heritage company (founded in 1901!) that sells capes – yep you heard that right – simply capes. Not just any old cape mind you, there’s a range of super high-quality items ranging from ankle-length sweeping ones that would be fit to adorn the likes of Sherlock Holmes, to shorter, super trendy styles. The shop has actually dressed some pretty famous people – Michael Jackson, pierce Brosnan, Hilary Clinton and many more. You can read up about the history of the company AND they ship worldwide from the online shop.

Throughout my visit at Casa Seseña, I saw the studio room, where the patterns are cut, met with the designer herself who talked about the history of the company and the new styles that are being created. I tried on a few of the different styles too.
