Dining at Chapter One & The Entertainer

Soooo there are changes happening on this site and as is becoming fairly obvious, life in caroline world is including new subjects. Whilst fashion remains the underlying theme and subject of this blog, I’ve also decided to start including posts about other subjects and interests that I’m passionate about, like travel, exercise and food. One of my favourite pastimes has always been eating out, I love restaurants and I like to try different ones – not really one to frequent the same place week in week out. Last weekend I discovered a fabulous restaurant Chapter One, the hubby is quite hard to impress but here at the end of the meal, he bombarded the chef with so many questions about how he cooked the different dishes that I was worried he might never leave.
Since eating out often tends to be expensive, I’m always up for different ways to grab a discount and whenever new 2-4-1 membership systems are launched, I tend to sign up. The Entertainer is the latest one to hit our shores, it differs from others in that it’s not a local company but an international one. The Entertainer is also present in London, Dubai amongst many more countries.

As mentioned in my previous trips, the Entertainer and I have teamed up for me to try out new activities I haven’t tried before using their 2-4-1 system. I started with a trip to a Fish Spa, had a personal training session on the beach and now it’s time for Chapter One. If you want your own Entertainer, I have a 10% discount for you – simply enter CAROLINE10 in the promo code box in the shopping cart from the website.

On the fashion side of things, I’ve been really happy to see the revival of one of my favourite clothing styles  ever- off the shoulder tops and dresses. I picked up this lovely dark green dress (sidenote: green is a major upcoming trend now for Autumn and Winter) from River Island that same morning and paired it with a pair of Laura Biagiotti shoes, sparkly earrings and a Marc Jacobs bag.

The slideshow below has photos of the various courses (photos by Kurt Paris). Our first appetiser dish was a really interesting beetroot soup, served with a helping of garlic cream. The intense, unique flavour was incredibly delicious and unexpected. This is generally served as a small shot portion – but upon seeing my large personality? they decided to increase the portion for the night.

Starters up next and my choice was a saffron risotto that I loved but I have to admit that the hubby beat me here – his meagre (Gurbell) and squid pasta was so perfectly flavoured that I was hoping he’d agree to switch – he didn’t, but I did get a few forkfuls.

Mains o’clock. I went for fish this time – meagre steak – lovely piece of fish, moist and not over flavoured and Kurt went for lamb, he said it was cooked perfectly – not a fan of lamb so just had to take his word for it.

My shining star of the night  was dessert – check out the top photo at the top of the post – that rich, beautiful, scrumptious, chocolate creation is something that should be on my daily menu.

Happy tummy at the end of the night
